Mercedes-Benz V250 Bluetec 4matic revealed; debuts at Paris Motor Show

With the introduction of the V250 Bluetec 4matic, German automaker Mercedes-Benz is all set to expand its V-Class MPV lineup.To be shown at the upcoming 2014 Paris Motor Show, the van will be a first-class V-Class with 4MATIC all-wheel drive.After the official unveiling, the MPV will go on sale in December, while deliveries will begin early next year.

The MPV will be powered by a 2.1-litre four-cylinder engine, which will churning out a good 190 BHP, and 440Nm of peak torque.Production power will then be sent to the all-wheel-drive system through a 7G-grade helical-plus automatic transmission, which is its standout feature.The MPV's fuel consumption is equivalent to 6.7 litres of fuel per 100km, while CO2 emissions count at 177g/km.Interestingly, it is the first vehicle with permanent all-wheel drive, compliant with the Euro 6 emissions standard, powered by its Bluetec technology.

The MPV comes with four rear seats, including a two-passenger bench, a three-passenger bench, or a berth package is also available.Additionally, all table top seats can be folded and used as a second loading level.

The V-Class has gotten rear-wheel drive as standard since March.There are three different configurations, 136 BHP, 163 BHP) and 190 BHP.According to the company, in addition to the V 250 Bluetec 4Matic model at the top, other engine variants of the MPV will be offered with all-wheel drive in the future.
