Toyota gave a small tweezers & tuck treatment to the ETIOS Duo; both vehicles will reportedly launch within days.After launch, the Japanese manufacturer will update the ETIOS family, the sedan cabin and the Etios Cross.Adding to it, the recently launched crossover variant of the ETIOS has overshadowed the low sales of the ETIOS hatch in the country.

Speaking of changes, major visual updates sit up front, with the ETIOS range now offering a new grille.The cab will be in chrome, and the hatches will be body-colored grilles.Other than that, there are no visual changes to the exterior of the ETIOS Duo.Inside, the vehicle body sports new premium fabric upholstery, electronically adjustable orvms, leather-wrapped steering wheel top trim and chrome blades.The driver airbag is reportedly standard on the updated range.

Because this is a small, but sibling cousin will remain mechanically the same.Both diesel and gasoline engines will propel.On the diesel front, the ETIOS range features a 1.4-litre D-4D diesel producing 67.1bhp @ 3800rpm and 170Nm of maximum torque @ 1800-2400rpm.The cars are both mated to a five-speed manual unit in the diesel with an ARAI-certified mileage of 23.59 km/l.

Talking about the petrol motor, the sedan uses a naturally aspirated 4-cylinder 1.5-litre unit producing 88.8bhp @ 5600rpm and 132nm @ 3000rpm, with a five-speed unit delivering 16.78km/l.The hatch, on the other hand, offers a 1.2-litre unit convoluting 78.9bhp @ 5600rpm and 104Nm of torque at 3100rpm, and coupled with a 5-speed unit, delivers 17.71km/l.
