Ford begins deliveries of F-150 Lightning electric pickup

Ford has officially started deliveries of its F-150 Lightning electric pickup truck to retail and fleet customers,media reported.In exciting news, Ford has begun deliveries of the F-150 Lightning, the electric version of America's best-selling pickup truck, the F-150.

Ford previously announced it had begun production of the electric pickup last month, after which the vehicles were sent to dealerships across the United States.Ford initially delivered vehicles to fleet customers, but the latest news shows that the company has also started delivering vehicles to retail customers.The first customer to mention the new car posted a photo of himself on the F-150 Lightning forum.

The Michigan-based customer placed a reservation for a Platinum Trim F-150 Lightning on May 20, 2021, and on January 7, 2022, the reservation was converted to a formal order.The vehicle rolled off the assembly line on April 18, 2022, and was delivered to the consumer on May 26, 2022.

After previous reports showed that preorders for the F-150 Lightning topped 200,000 shortly after its launch, Ford realized that consumer demand for the electric pickup was much higher than the company had anticipated.Ford then quickly raised itsproductionforecast, which the company expects to be around 40,000 this year and 150,000 by the end of next year.
