The SSB uses a unique and innovative internal structure that requires a new battery structure and offers several advantages. In addition, this battery has an ultra-high energy density and can also serve as a suitable energy storage alternative for a wide range of applications, such as the transportation sector.

Under the MoU, FEV and ProPower will work together to develop battery systems for customers, expand sales, and validate cells/packs based on ProPower's solid-state battery technology.

Professor Stefan Pischinger, President and CEO of FEV Group, said: "As a technology-open development service provider, we are committed to providing solid-state battery solutions for theelectric vehiclesector. Propione Technology is an ideal partner for our 360-degree battery development. With unique development and testing capabilities, we are able to design cutting-edge technologies that meet all regulatory requirements and customer needs worldwide."

FEV has many years of experience in battery development.Custom design and integration of battery systems requires consideration of the battery management system as well as cells, packs and packs.Depending on the application, FEV can provide solutions with high specific power density or high energy density. In addition, FEV operates the world's largest independent battery development and testing center for high-voltage batteries, eDLP, located near Leipzig, Germany.

Vincent Yang, CEO and founder of Propro Technology, said, "This agreement with FEV reflects Propro Technology's continued development and global business strategy. FEV and Propro Technology are like-minded and complementary partners. Both parties will focus on Creating new value in traditional industries. We believe this partnership will help the automotive industry achieve innovative, clean and energy-efficient electric vehicles faster.”

The market demand for electric vehicle batteries has increased dramatically in terms of safety, energy density, cost and longevity.Solid-state batteries are one of the most promising technologies compared to lithium-ion batteries for electric vehicles, which mainly employ liquid electrolytes. In addition, solid-state batteries have more range advantages due to their lighter weight and smaller size at the same capacity.Pischinger said: “To take full advantage of this technology, the core competency lies not only in battery development, but also in the algorithm of integration and control technology at the battery pack level. Otherwise, we can only play its role in energy density, service life and safety. Part of the advantage."
