List overview: Most revenue growth

Of this year's Automotive News 100 companies, 84 have increased their 2021 revenue compared to 2020.The top 10 companies have combined revenues of $321.5 billion, up 10% from 2020 and a 2.2% increase from 2019.

Despite the challenges facing suppliers, mergers and acquisitions and other transactions have continued at a steady pace.Among them, the most noteworthy may be Faurecia's acquisition of a controlling stake in HELLA.The transaction was announced in 2021 and was officially completed on January 31 this year. The companies on the list this year come from 14 countries. Japanese companies still lead the list, with 22 companies shortlisted, a decrease from 23 companies in the 2021 list; 21 companies from the United States are on the list; followed by Germany, with a total of 23 companies. 18 companies are on the list; 10 companies fromChinaandSouth Koreaare on the list; 5, 4, 3 and 2 companies from Canada, France, Spain and the United Kingdom are on the list respectively, while Switzerland, India, Sweden, Mexico and Brazil has one company each shortlisted.

As far as Chinese companies are concerned, there are 10 companies on the list this year, two more than last year.The new Chinese companies on the list are Noble Automotive Systems and Ningbo Top Group, while the 8 Chinese companies on the list last year, Yanfeng, Beijing Hainachuan, CITIC Dicastal, Johnson Electric, Wuling Industry, Minth Group, Anhui Zhongding Sealing Co., Ltd. and Desay SV continue to make the list this year.Among them, Yanfeng still ranks the highest, ranking 16th in the top 100 list, up one place from last year.In addition to the above companies, two subsidiaries of Joyson Electronics, Joyson Automotive Safety Systems and Preh, ranked 44th and 92nd respectively.
