1202 kilometers! Mercedes-Benz EQXX sets another record for battery life

Previously, an EQXX drove 1,008 kilometers (626 miles) from Stuttgart, Germany, where it was produced, to a place called Cassis in France. The journey took a total of 14 hours and 30 minutes. The driving time spanning two days.The new record recently increased that range to 1,202 kilometers (747 miles) from Stuttgart to Silverstone in the UK.The new range record is due to improved vehicle efficiency, from 8.7 kWh/100 km (7.14 mph/kWh) to 8.3 kWh/100 km (7.48 mph/kWh).

Interestingly, the last part of the drive was actually done at Silverstone.Driving the EQXX was Dutch Formula E racer Nyck de Vries, who drove 11 laps at a relatively fast pace on the famous circuit.This suggests that the range results could be more impressive if the vehicle was driven with efficiency in mind throughout the entire journey.
