Stellantis Melfi plant to stop again due to lack of cores

According to foreign media reports, the UILM union announced on June 23 that due to a "structural" shortage of semiconductor supply, automaker Stellantis will suspend its southern Italy from the evening of June 28 to July 2. Operation of the key plant in Melfi.

Stellantis makes models, including the Jeep Compass and Renegade, at the Melfi plant, which employs more than 7,000 workers.Two other factories in France were also affected by the shutdown, the group announced on June 22.
