The D9 comes with 6 trim levels including both PHEV (namely, DM-i) and BEV versions, featuring a presale price range of 335,000-460,000 yuan ($49,655-68,180). Besides, a founder's edition is offered at the same time, priced at 660,000 yuan ($97,830) in presale with a limited supply of 99 units.

The D9 adopts DENZA's brand-new design language, “π-Motion.” With dimensions of 5,250mm long, 1,960mm wide, 1,920mm tall, and a wheelbase of 3,110mm, the D9 plays in the league of full-sized MPVs.

All variants of the D9 come standard with power sliding doors, a large panoramic sunroof, Dynaudio's high-quality audio system, rear-bench air-conditioning, and double-layer mute glass on all four doors.

Riding on BYD's e-platform 3.0, the full-electric variants can travel over 600km on a single charge under CLTC (China light-duty vehicle test cycle), and have a maximum charging power of 166kW.

The DM-i versions are equipped with a PHEV-dedicated 1.5L Xiaoyun Engine. The combined CLTC range in the DM-i versions is between 945km and 1,040km. They support up to 80kW DC fast charging and allow fuel consumption as low as 6.2 liters per 100km.
