Mercedes-Benz Gera 45 AMG launches tomorrow

After the introduction of the national GLA crossover, Mercedes Benz India will launch the GLA 45 AMG tomorrow, October 27, 2014.The GLA 45 AMG is the AMG version of the GLA class.The SUV is powered by an AMG 2.0-liter turbo engine that also does duty in the CLA 45 AMG.According to the manufacturer, the AMG 2.0-liter turbo is the most powerful series-production four-cylinder turbo in the world.

As part of the AMG badge, the SUV has AMG add-ons including a Sportsman front bumper, a new front grille with AMG badging, side skirts, red highlights, a black roof and a redesigned front bumper with a diffuser and four-wheel exhaust rear bumper.Inside the cabin, the SUV features black and aluminium inserts on the front recaro-amg sports seats, leather upholstery with red stitching and highlights.The interior of the Premium SUV reminds us of the CLA 45 AMG.

As mentioned above, the GLA 45 AMG is powered by a Mercedes-AMG 2.0-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder petrol engine churning out 355BHP of maximum power and 450Nm of peak torque.The engine is mated to the AMG SpeedShift DCT 7-speed sport drivetrain approach, which features three drive modes "M" - Manual, "S" - Sport and "C" to control the efficiency mode.The GLA 45 AMG also comes with standard AMG 4MATIC all-wheel drive.

Since the company has already introduced the CLA 45 AMG at Rs 68.50 lakh, expect the GLA 45 AMG to be priced at the same price.And like the CLA 45 AMG (the most affordable AMG sedan), the GLA 45 AMG will also be the most affordable AMG SUV from the manufacturer in Stuttgart.
