BASF Group releases preliminary figures for the second quarter of 2022

Net incomeis expected to reach EUR 2.090 billion, well above the same period last year (Q2 2021: EUR 1.654 billion) and significantly higher than the average analyst forecast for the second quarter of 2022 (Vara: EUR 1.408 billion).Compared to the same period last year, this significant increase was mainly due to an increase in the income from the equity investment in Wintershall Dea.

The BASF Group's forecast for the 2022 financial year remains unchanged for the time being.
