WhenJeepannounced its all-new large 2022 Grand Wagoneer, it said it was informing its rivals that it would take the premium SUV category to the next level.Now, the 2022 Grand Wagoneer has been named the "SUV of Texas" at the annual Texas Truck Race.It's a Ram and Jeep signature event.I reported earlier that the 2021 Ram 1500 TRX was crowned the Texas Truck of the Year.

Texas is a huge market for trucks and large SUVs.There are plenty of places to cover, and many spend long hours on the ranch or traveling between smaller cities, so comfort is king.The new Grand Wagoneer has won two top results.It took top honors for SUVs in Texas and won the full-size luxury SUV category.The Grand Wagoneer's little brother, the 2022 Jeep Wagoneer drives home as a full-size SUV in Texas.When all the awards were added up, Jeep's parent company, Stellantis, took home the most awards of any automaker.
