BMW recalls 3 series passenger cars worldwide for faulty airbags

BMW is a luxury manufacturer. In order to correct the wrong airbag, BMW has issued a global recall of BMW 3 Series manufactured between May 1999 and May 2006. The company is launching safety issues for more than 160000 vehicles worldwide. In retrospect, the manufacturer said it was a preventive measure because other carmakers using similar systems had reported problems.

BMW will replace the passenger side front airbag manufactured by Takata Corp. Recently, it found that its airbag deployed at a very high speed, resulting in the rupture of the metal box of the inflator and eventually damaging passengers.

In June, the national highway traffic safety administration began investigating airbags made by Takata. In a statement, the IAEA said, "based on current limited data, NHTSA supports the immediate risk of sustained hot and humid conditions for carmakers for an extended period of time."

Although Takata Corp, a Japanese company, issued a statement on seat belts and airbags in a statement, it will support NHTSA investigations of all technical issues. "Our goal is to make every effort to ensure the safety and well-being of the public“

Recently, Mahindra & Mahindra, India's leading SUV manufacturer, also recalled Scorpio SUVs. The recall covered 23519 units of the basic model 'ex' variant, manufactured between May 2012 and November 2013. The company recalled the SUV Scorpio on inconsistent pressure regulating valves. Last year, Mahindra recalled 24695 XUV 500s to replace the fluid hose and front power window unit of vehicles manufactured in 2011 and 2012. In recent years, manufacturers have recalled more than 10 million vehicles worldwide, including the names of Honda, Ford, general motors and Toyota.
