Hamilton wins Russian Grand Prix, Rosberg ends second

Lewis Hamilton won the Russian Grand Prix ahead of Russian President Vladimir Putin.With his 31st career win, the British driver extended his championship, leading to 17 points from his nearest rival and teammate Nico Rosberg.With another two complete, Team Mercedes is calling the team's first constructor "header. The 2014 season will end after three races in the United States, Brazil and Abu Dhabi.

Hamilton, the 2008 world champion, also became the fourth driver in F1 history to win nine races in a season, equaling Nigel Mansell's British record of 31 career victories.The Briton, who started the race from pole position, completed 53 laps of 308.9 kilometers (192 miles) and 50.744 seconds in one hour and 31 minutes, with an average speed of 325.64 kmph (202.34mph).His partner and Mercedes second driver Rosberg set up the second race in the race, followed by Willian's Valtteri Bottas and McLaren Duo Jenson Button and Denmark Kevin Magnussen.The team forced India's Sergio Perez to set up the 10th while his team-mate Nico Hulkenberg did not score a single point.
